@Deep Sea Diver , I love your heritage tree stories. They are an inspiration to me. I have a lilac that I bought from a landscape nursery, after finding one with a great trunk. I have been working on it for about 5 years and this year I was planning on getting it into a bonsai pot. I will definitely use your Code Cracking results when I attempt to pot. I really love the effect of the ferns in the same pot.

Gosh, time got away from me in this one @MaxChavez ! So sorry.
Lyla got inadvertently hit with a a coupe rounds of fertilizer this spring and decided it was time too grow! So very few flowers sadly. But the trunk is calling out nicely because of this miscue.
All pruned back in after blooming and here she is today.
