I purchased eight 1-year old Kishu and eight 2-year old Itoigawa seedlings from @JEads for the contest. They look great.
I will be wiring, twisting, and repotting them into larger grow containers within the next month. Then it's grow, feed, wire, bend, and deadwood work for the next seven years (and beyond).

Now it's just feed, grow and wire for probably the next couple years . They may or not get shari work next year depending on how they do this year.

I think this is going to be a super fun contest and we should all learn a ton over the next seven years. Big thanks to @JEads for getting this going!!
