I'm curious if anyone uses a moisture meter to check their trees.
Good idea or not and why.
 
I bought one. Works great in potting soils and cactus mixes, but since bonsai is going to most likely be in some mixture of fired clay/mulch, it doesn't work. If you have that mixture though, it's pretty easy to see when you need to water.
 
I water my trees every day at this time of year, early spring. In summer I water three times a day. Moisture meter would be irrelevant.
