It is actually (one of) my first Chinese elm(s). They're not very common here. Imported or southern raised Chinese elm like to die here in their first winter. Paid a bit too much for it because it had been sitting in a Michigan bonsai nursery for 5 years and I knew it could handle winter.
It's my second year with the tree. Grew the lateral roots strong the first year. Decided to try the Ebihara technique on it this year. I'll let it grow for at least 2 years before I touch it again.
