My spot for Scots pine.

I found this area today. All the trees are scots pine which have been mowed,cut and run over. It covers around 2.5 acres.
I'll be coming back tomorrow with more buckets.
I only grabbed 1 today.

Utility lines. I work for the contractor taking all trees out.
I got permission from the utility to dig trees. This line is slated for action next summer.

There are quite a few real good ones. I still have until the candles are fully extended. They're just starting to elongate.

Sweet! I'll be posting an update pretty soon on the one Scots that I own. It got put into a real bonsai pot this year. I'm planning on trying to pick up a couple more from the same source in June - but I have to buy them. Sure wish I had a place to dig em up like that.

My job provides me with unique spots.
I'm lucky that I get to move through the woods as part of my everyday activities.
And I'm becoming more discerning in what I collect. I don't feel the need to dig the first tree I come to anymore.
I have the luxury to pick and choose what I want.
