I couldn’t resist picking up this little pot today, so I trimmed a jade cutting down to basically a stick and stuck it in. It already had a few roots, so I figured—why not? Everything’s indoors now.

Is this below mame? Will this do anything again? Gazillon years? I don’t have a pic of the cutting but it had maybe one or two branches on top of decent leaf sets.

Hard to say, given it's a Jade. But I'm sure it will look pretty damn good in a little while.

I bet it puts out new growth very quickly.

I recently repotted my jade bonsai and I popped several sticks in soil, although my sticks still had some leaves. They started growing new leaves within days. The main tree has exploded with new growth.

is it an actual jade - (Crassula ovata) or something else?
Mame will be tough unless u have p. Afra or maybe Lilliput dwarf Jade.

Nonetheless, I’m sure you’ll have success with rooting that cutting! 👍

You basically made a mini experiment there. As long as the cutting has roots and did not rot, it will recover. Keep it dry and warm. It's not going to be fast though, jades take their sweet time restarting from a chop
