You guys in Portland are fortunate to have a great bunch of teachers available for bonsai study and have recently just aquired a new one.

My best friend and mentor for the past ten years, Tom Stoute, arrived in your area just last week. He will be sorely missed here in S.E. Virginia. As a result of his influence on our local clubs & study group, our bonsai skills & trees were greatly improved. Look for Tom soon at the Bonsai Society of Portland.

Please give Tom a big welcome when you see him.
