Hey guys!

Stumbled on what I think is one of Mas Ishii’s old trees..waiting for Gary Ishii to confirm. The tree took a fall at the prior owners home..dead branches for lots of character..sitting in Tupperware (how I got it) till next Spring. Lots of cleaning and fertilizing to due in the meantime. I believe this will be a great specimen tree for the future

Shame it was allowed to get in the state it's in.
Really nice trunk, but needs to get healthy and strong again.

Agreed, I’m super committed to getting it healthy first.

That is a nice trunk. That wiring isn't doing you any favors though...does that Tupperware drain ok?

Have you checked the foliage for spider mites yet? The grey/green pallor of some of the branches can be an indication of an infestation.

Wires are coming off…the only good thing is the Tupperware…lots of extra holes and nice drainage

Haven’t seen any mites…spraying tomorrow 3 times 5 days apart as a safety.

All the pale was leggy and weak..it’s gone now
