New from Lowes's, Vitex (Chaste Tree)

So..... this one was left behind at my sister's place in Jersey when I left Philly. Just got a new one last week but didn't get a chance to repot. The leaves are getting big so is it too late if planning to cut one or two larger roots? Or no root pruning but just changing out soil?
