Is there any info out there regarding glazes for pots and if non food grade is ok for bonsai?

The glaze doesn’t go on the inside of the pot so it can’t leach into the soil.

Some glazes that are considered unsafe for food are for reasons that go beyond chemical content, mostly "speciality" glazes that may not be frost proof, or otherwise durable enough for bonsai use.
