Norway Spruce

This is my strategy with my DAS. The branches are too long, so I'm attempting to push them back over several years of pinching new growth to encourage older buds to activate. I've been working on my Italian Stone Pine very slowly, allowing a full year or so after any major work. It's taking a long time but my vision is starting to materialize. Some species just require a ton of patience and following a long term plan.
I'm starting to learn that. Have you posted any pictures of those you mentioned?

Actually, I've been doing the same with my ERC. I might put up some pictures for advice, but I think it's going well so far.

Yes!

My Dwarf Alberta Spruce (< 1 year).
Lots of work ahead. My focus will be pushing back the growth to shorten the lower branches over time. I did do some pruning since last posting here. Thanks for the reminder to post updates!

My Italian Stone Pine (4 years).
This one has come a long way, but still a long way to go.
