I got this juniper at the nursery and did a first styling. I need to remove that left branch, compact the foliage and develop ramification. But for now I will let it recover, I think.

Here is a little progression. 20170611_181520.jpg

After some pruning:

Applied some wire:

And this is how it is now:

A brief update: Earlier this Spring, I reduced the rootball and planted in a smaller pot (I know, I know, it is the wrong pot, but it was the only one this size I had on hand. It will get a more appropriate one in due time) and did away with the left branch. Then, I let it grow, save for the occasional cleaning. It did grow a lot. I will style it later in the Fall, probably around September/October. I have an idea of where I want to take it (twin trunk style), but I would be interested in hearing what you guys have to say.

A little update. This guy has been doing good. I basically let it grow out last year, and did some wiring (not a lot) in the Fall. Removed all the wire as it was beginning to cut in, and pruned it back to size. I am thinking now I need to reduce the top, but I will do that later. I removed a lot of foliage, so I will let it recovwr first.

This tree has come such a long way from when you acquired it, I love all the updates!
