I watch quite a few Japanese bonsai videos. They are in Japanese, but I just watch the procedure. I know there are subtitles, but they are sorely lacking in accuracy. I've noticed the same sound at the end of MANY sentences on these videos. It sounds like "neh".....sort of in-between the English short e and long a..........close to the first e in "never". It took me a while to research it, but it is apparently a kind of filler word. The loose meaning is "isn't that right?" or "right?" or "you know what I mean?". At first, I couldn't grasp the idea of that many Japanese words sounding the same. The research cleared it up.

Here's a sample. Pretty decent video, too.
