Hi, I'm Chris and I make handcrafted bonsai stands on my etsy page ComfortTree at http://www.etsy.com/shop/comforttree. My wife and I have been partners in woodworking for over 30 years now and we love doing custom work and creating beautiful artistic wood pieces. Here is some of our work and thanks for stopping in, would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,
Chris - http://www.etsy.com/shop/comforttree1side.jpgspeakersfront.jpg17front.jpg4front.jpg8100411575_f3f1ca3462_h.jpg

Hi, and welcome.

Your stands are lovely and extremely well made as far as I can see from those pictures.

I especially like the fourth stand, the very low one. Number 3 is nice too. For bonsai, the first two are likely to overwhelm the tree that is put on them unless the tree itself is large and massive.

How large are they?

True the sizes are important to know but as a woodworker in the past I will say that all of the stands are great looking. Even a large stand with the proper size catch tray and bowl would look quite nice. I am throwing a bowl and tray for a Jade "tree" which to purist would probably say is too large.

Bonsai Stand Dimensions and other examples

Hi JKL and thank you for the compliment and comments they are greatly appreciated!

The first stand pictured is an example that can be custom sized to the buyers requirements and is built upon request and size specifications. Our sizes often range from for example 5 1/2 X 5 1/2/ inches like the one listed below to 15 X 7 1/4 X 2 inches but we work with any custom size requested. The second piece listed below is 9 1/2 X 5 1/2 X 2 1/2 inches.

The second photo listed earlier is more of a art/media stand but can serve as a bonsai stand if desired.Base is 11 X 11 inches. Top is 8 X 7 inches. Stand is 11 inches high, but this is also highly customizable according to the clients needs.
