Flying Dog, they make lots of good beer, out of MD no less.
I don't know him, but I like all the artwork they use, cool! With Ralph Steadman art. Great stuff.
I'm not sure....and I'm good with insect ID...View attachment 98169
Looking at my yellow plum blossoms the other day. Not a honey bee, not a mason bee, what might bee??? Anybody?
Just zomed in on my original photo. Eyes are darkish red/brown (without clicking your avatar I want to say the bug eye color is very similar your skull "beard" color), light "tail"stripes are definitely yellow but looking through the wing screen can't tell if dark stripe is gray or green or???I'm not sure....and I'm good with insect ID...
Are the eyes red?
How about the body under the wings? Is it black and white/yellow?
I think it's a syrphid fly of sorts.Just zomed in on my original photo. No, it can't be, you took too long, and uhhh, mine is a new found subspecies of yours and google doesn't even have one so I've named mine "Me Fly" or in latin they would say "Jomawa Muska". But, I very much appreciate you hunting down that very, very, similar critter.I think it's a syrphid fly of sorts.
