Post a pic of your favorite tree and pot, not necessarily together. If you want advice or criticisms please say "comments welcome". Obviously compliments always welcome. I know I should lead by example however I just had the idea and its already dark out. I promise to post sometime over the holiday.

Ok so I realized I have 2 pots that are my favorite so here they are. Embarassingly I dont know what they are. The bright blue one likely chinese or even vietnamese, there are no markings of maker on it. The denim blue/violet one is Japanese it has a chop that I might try to identify on gastronomes site tonight.

This is such a seasonal sport, and in this season, I'm enjoying the ume blooms, in a cheap Touyou pot that I also dig.

Another tree/pot combo I appreciate is this corkbark black pine in a shigaraki black and red pot.

And a few favorite pots that I keep on my desk:

top, l to r: pine garden, Byron Myrick, pine garden
middle, l to r: Syuho, Bigei, Koyo
bottom: Heian Kouso

My favorite tree, surprising no one who has been here for a while, is my old Rocky Mountain Juniper. I actually really dig the oldish tokoname pot it's in, too. Comments are always welcome.

That RMJ is looking nice Dave. You've done well with it, and it has just a hint of Ryan's influence. Hopeful to see it doing well in this area, headed back out west in May on another collecting trip.

One of my favorites is this American Red Maple. The pot it is in is 20" across to give a scale to the photo, the stick in the pot is a standard bamboo chop stick.

Working on ramification and when the leaves dropped I did a little trimming back of branches to be ready for next Spring's bud pop.

Very interesting trunk. I see why you like it

here are my two favorite trees. Which also represent my favorite style of tree, cascade or semi-cascade. The first is a Chinese Sweet Plum that needs a ton more branch development and a smaller pot. The second is a California Juniper that I recently acquired that also needs foliage development and a smaller pot. Comments welcome
