Thanks for the heads up.

We dont feed Blue Buffalo, but its nice to know when there are recalls

Goodness me that can be disastrous....

My old dog is tired of dry dog pallets, so i mix in some juicy canned dog food and he loves it. Few weeks ago I was cooking a batch of lentils for the missus to freeze and use as she goes. I added a few spoons full in the dog's pallets over two days (with love of course). Man the poor dog sprayed poop at about 35PSI for three days afterwards. He's a house dog so you can imagine the rest.....:eek::eek:

I hope you knew the trick of canned pumpkin. Which helps such issues. But...not pleasant for anyone or the pup.

No I don't. Does it block it up again, or the pumpkin make it smell better? :D
It firms stool...something a pet owner should always have in their pantry. But be my guest...if you wish to smell it...I would highly suggest if it smells like pumpkin...you still leave it lay and not give it a go at a taste. Lol

Blue Buffalo is one of my pet peeves. It's always been nothing but hype. The guy who started the company was the marketing big wig for SoBe sodas--the one with the lizards on the cans. He started Blue Buffalo because he saw a booming high-end market developing for pet owners who were willing to pay a premium for dog food. The food is not made by Blue Buffalo. The manufacture is outsourced.

They've been locked in a battle with Purina over false advertising claims for years. Do a search on Purina and Blue Buffalo and see what turns up.

I fed my dog this crap for a while. He had constant stomach upset, gas and loose stools. Vet and professional dog trainers both told me to get him off the stuff. They said they have had constant complaints about those same symptoms in other dogs being fed the product.

@rockm our breeder for our Australian Shepard was very vocal we didn't feel her pup this "trash" she called it. Stating that the food didn't come from the same source. That must have been what she meant...I was clueless. It's why I asked our vet...and switched to Taste of the Wild. Which did end up controlling allergies that we didn't know we're food oriented with our senior bulldog.

If you have any doubt about Blue B--

Funny Blue's owner blamed its outsourcers for its problem--which is a classic dodge and one reason businesses use outsourcing--the blame game.

Purina, God bless it's corporate soul, saw an opening and pushed and it's not done. Dec. 2015 statement from the company--
"Blue Buffalo’s announcement of a $32 million consumer class action settlement — the largest pet food class action settlement ever — comes a full seven months after Blue admitted mislabeling products and 19 months after Purina sued Blue Buffalo for false advertising and misleading pet parents. Purina is pleased Blue Buffalo is beginning to accept responsibility for its false advertising and mislabeling.”

“Purina’s separate false advertising case against Blue Buffalo continues"
