Recovery & Mental Nuts

Anyone else here ever get winter depression? We've had a really dreary summer so far already and every cloudy day makes me dread the darkness to come. Last year two straight months no sun whatsoever, just continuous cloudcover. I try not to think about having to experience that again, and take full advantage of the sunny days we do get.

Fixed now, but I have to start all over.
I don't usually do space aliens, but this one has space aliens.
Did you manage to catch up to what you had before? Space aliens are always cool, love the Alien franchise. You watching Alien: Earth?

Here in the States, in the Pacific Northwest this is the standard. A few weeks of summer sunshine, and cloudy and wet the rest of the year. It was quite a culture shock when I was there, but the family adapted quickly once we embraced it. Dress in layers so you can adjust your outfit to get as much out of breaks in the weather as you can. Carry extra socks with you whenever you can.
Learn to get out even in the foul weather. It will make a difference. Even the little sun that makes it through the clouds of a rain storm is more than enough for your trees, and is plenty for you; just get out there in it whenever you can. Barbecue in the rain, go to the beach just to see the stormy surf, walk the streets just to stomp in the puddles.

I haven't. It's been hard to motivate myself to restart it, but it's still on my mind. I've sorted out some details I wasn't sure if before, so I might have to make myself do it once I have a chance.
Send kids back to school, so it's been very busy.

Haven't stayed up to date on the Alien movies, but the ones I was writing about were rather friendly, so not at all the same vibe. LoL
I should make an Alien marathon night with friends sometime.

I've been doing better in therapy so I think I'm a little better equipped this year and I've got some drawing classes and personal art projects lined up to hopefully keep me busy.

You should, though there's quite a few movies at this point. The prequels though, Prometheus and Covenant, are the best cuz they add so much depth to the world and the story of the franchise. Romulus the most recent has its flaws and doesn't add much, but still cool for the sake of it. Now there's the show but jury's still out on that.

Good to hear. I know it can be difficult, but make sure you're getting outside on a regular basis. It makes all the difference in the world.

Is there a recommended order to watch the movies in?

Hotly contested topic of course, but if you want to watch them in chronological order it's prometheus, covenant, 1, romulus, 2 (aliens), 3, resurrection.
Personally I think I'd watch at least 1 first, just cuz it's the classic, the original, then jump back with the prequels (prometheus, covenant), and do the rest in any desired order.
Alien v predator 1 and 2 are fun but not canon cuz there's some conflicting story elements
