Got this grape from Napa winery county. Did a repot last weekend.
Enjoy folks.

Cool material...and I gotta say it's cool using a wine glass ( half full of a Napa Valley product, I assume:cool:) as a size reference instead of a soda can...

I was told soda is not good for your health, so having a Napa red wine while repotting that Napa grape tree;-)) Glad you like the idea of using a wine glass instead of a soda.

Here's other close shots of that grape.

I consider drinking a good red wine to be medicinal:o...

Good stuff! Where are you located? I live right near Napa in Sonoma County (we have better wine here BTW:p) and have always been interested in doing a grape bonsai. Apparently, John Naka had a nice grape. I always wondered about the leaf size and getting them in proportion. They definitely have cool trunks on them.

You are so lucky to live up there. Sonoma is a beaufitul and peaceful place to live. I have been attending the Redwood Empire Bonsai show for many years, each time we love to take a winery tour along the American River. I don't think you need any grape bonsai in your backyard as you are living in the heart of the winery wonderland;-)) ... just walking thru the American River bank or driving up to the winery hills during the sunset, you can view thousand of beautiful grape trees...

I am here in San Jose. Do you have any picture of John Naka's grape bonsai?

Best,
