Repot or not ?

I have many species of trees that I wanted to repot but was not able to repot all the ones I wanted to. Is it safe to repot once the leaves are sprouted and green? I had heard from experienced bonsaist to not repot after the leaves have sprouted specially Tridents. Any comments appreciated. Thanks

Tridents can be repotted while the leaves are barely coming out and still a reddish color, after that, dont do it. They will totally defoliate and may die. I have had one come back, but wouldnt do it again.
