Get some trident maple seedling for ROR bonsai also. You;ll get much quicker results. Continue to work with mugo but keep in mind that they are so slow to thicken. (Very long term project.) If you like pine Japanese BP and Scots grow much faster.

Yep, I have some elms, trident and juniper ROR in process and some of my 6 yr contest JBP will go onto rocks.. This is kind of a mugo experiment, I expect to be growing these things for 20 years. I have a thread here where these rocks will be used.
