Maybe it would give a different impression in person, but the way the front central tree is leaning back (away from viewer) is bothering me a bit. Otherwise, really great looking group so far.

Fall update. Not a lot of growth this year. Odd because other hornbeams in the yard went wild. Maybe I removed too many roots in March?

Might not what you want to do but you could always sloop that into a larger flat to facilitate growth and more root spread , just don’t touch the outline of the roots that were in that container so you can go back to that in another 2 years .. orrr leave it in that and put over other soil to allow some roots to escape .. orrr just feed the piss out of it and water S the rooots fill the pot you’ll lose percolation
