Selling year-old Baldcypress seedling in hand-made ceramic

Yep. This is the problem I have with "follow your heart." OP seems well-intentioned, but methodology is way off. "The heart is deceitful above everything, and desperately wicked..." If we don't temper our good will with a little wisdom, we (mankind) end up doing more harm than good. As a species, we've proven this over and over and over again, throughout history. And now OP wants to try to fix one problem by creating another. Should do really well in politics. Probably NYC mayor one day.

I read this today, felt like it fits in this conversation:

“In New York, artists want to show you how hard their work was to make. And in California, artists want to work so hard that their work looks effortless. I think Texas artists naturally work in a way to negate both of those sentiments. Because in Texas, the worst things you can be are lazy or too big for your britches.”

I guess the bonsai world is a lot like Texas. Who knew?

Ha! Don’t listen to anything Texans tell you. 😆They tend to exaggerate—a lot. 😁 I’m from a very long line of Texans. My grandparents used to tell me beware of the TBS -Texas Bullshit Syndrome whenever I was conversing with one. They said believe only half of what some say. Of course WHICH half is problematic.

How do you cure TBS? I grew up partly in Texas, and I'm terribly concerned that I may have contracted the condition before I moved to New Mexico. Symptoms include telling larger-than-life stories, inflating my skills and accomplishments, portraying my life above reality, and building up my reputation bigger than it is.
My biggest concern is that I may also spread this to others. Should I mask up? Maybe a 3M duct tape mask?

Not contagious To non Texans. Probably genetic or something in the water.
