I've never done this before, but I had some spare time today.
I know there are very specific rules regaurding these things but I'm not terribly familiar with them.
With your help I may use this in our local club show this fall.
Thanks in advance for your input.
(Notice the phone in the last shot for scale.)

Hi Chappy,

My favorite would be the one that has the phone accent;) :D

All joking aside...I think the one that has the tree placed on a wood stand works best.

Definately the wood! What kinda little tree is that? In the first 2 pics I would swear it was normal size. Haha!

The tree is actually some kind of Ivy.
I picked it up at Cass Bonsai here in Illinois on a lark, put it one of their little chinese pots, and fell in love with it. I'm hopin to do some more of them. They are pretty hardy.

Rock Slab

I like the rock slab .....as its length balances with the long branch however, the stand doesn't look right in this first picture.

I can't say I know any of the rules but inthe first picture I think there is too much stone/pottery. I like the second one the best. I wonder how it would look with a wood slab under it.
