I picked up this ulmus x hollandica 'jacqueline hillier' from a nursery a couple weeks ago for £20. It has a nice bend in the trunk and the base flares. It's hella root bound so my job tomorrow is getting it raked out and into a pond basket to do some branch growing.

There is some inverse taper near the base of the tree but I like the shape and think that it's workable. I have to decide which of the main branches to keep as the trunk continuation and then build some branch structure around it.
