Spring 2023 down south

South like... south Charlotte?
A fair bit further south I'd say.

another azalea I collected from a garden a couple of years ago. Needs a haircut but I'll let it flower first.

All the Japanese maples are humming as the bees visit the flowers. I wonder what Japanese maple honey tastes like?

Thanks for sharing shibui. I hope you have a nice growing season ahead of you.

After Hell Summer here in Texas I'm happy it is spring somewhere!
Our Bureau of Meteorology has just declared El nino event which usually means hot and dry for us too. Can't change the weather so we can only prepare for the worst and hope it's not quite that bad.

Shibui you're the man! Awesome pics, and some excellent trees snuck in there. That Azalea is going to look insane when those flowers pop!

Probably peak flowering for this wisteria today.

The azalea has also reached peak flowering.

Unfortunately the Indicas have suffered petal blight damage so not worth taking photos of those.

Parrotia leaves look great soon after opening.

JBP seedlings emerging. I'll need some space for all those when I start potting up
