I have also seen Al's stands in person. I must say they are the highest quality I have ever seen. Wish I could afford a bunch of them!

I made three of them with an inlaid border. I gave all three away. Grampz has one of them. Soildoc from bonsaiTALK has one of them and the bonsai nursery here in Fresno has the third one. I gave them all away due to the fact that they are much to garish for bonsai display.
The last thing you want to hear at a bonsai display is " Man that woodwork on that stand is beautiful" or "Wow! That pot is awesome, I have never seen something like that"
I wonder if they noticed the tree planted in it or displayed on it?
