These little guys pop up all over the place, so I decided to make one mine. Acer Rubrum. The big ones around here get amazing color in the fall.

They grow like weeds here too and I must admit the color is great come Fall. They grow fast as well! You might consider putting 5 -7 in a 3 gallon Nursery pot for about 3 years and having some decent small forest material or a good start on a fluted trunk binding. They do good both ways.

The pot is actually a change dish that my sister in law made herself, and gifted to me. I didn't have much use for it like that, so I drilled a hole in the bottom and called it a pot. The blue pot is a little Blue Star juniper that I hacked into before I knew anything. People love it though.

I have red maples pop up in my pots. I jerk them and toss them right along with the rest of the weeds. Lawn mower bait.

Haha, yeah same here. Red maples, tulip poplars, honey locusts, and various oaks all over the lawn.
