Tiny trident

NY ultimately this may not be right for your tree if in fact the nebari is more developed. Yes tilting will hide some of it and expose others more. This still may work with some trees but not all, just depends what's going on down on the roots. Also sometimes for this to be effective you do not have to change the angle very much at all. Just by tilting it a bit it can make a big difference. Once again it depends on the how developed your nebari is.
 
this one is still chugging along. Spent a couple seasons focused on the base. Good spread now. Needs branches though.

Updating a few threads and took some pics of this one today. Grew vigorously all season with several cutbacks. Leader has the top scar almost fully healed. I now have branches where I think I both want and need them. Will get a leafless shot when they drop. love the base.
