I have heard if you put aluminum tin tape over the chop site of a trunk chop it will heal much faster and cleaner looking? Has anyone tried this with any positive results?
I applied some on a chop of mine today as an experiment.
Also if anyone has any tips or tricks in trunk chops for best results, I would love to hear them.

I have heard of it being used on pruning sites on Japanese maples, but I myself have never tried it. I have never heard of it being used on a full trunk chop.

What kind of trunk chop? What species of tree - and where are you hoping to take the design later (ie are you trying to create a broom style?)
