The only thing holding this one back is the absolutely abysmal soil it's planted in. Calling it beach sand would be a complement! That part of the yard gets baked in the summer. It's growing over the roof now, it's getting whacked pretty soon!!! At least it finally started flowering!!!
 
After seeing what these can look like I wont be running it along the fence. I'm going to attempt making a 5 foot tree out of it and bonsai (ish) out of another.
May sell the pine or be much more careful with it next summer. Pines are new to me. Plenty to learn.
 
Not all pines are the same! You have to know what you're working with.
 
Adair are you saying there are different types of white pines? Seems like white pines have specific times to do things to them. Wire, re pot,cutting candles and so on. Would be nice to see a written structured guideline on dealing with white pine. Ryan Neil has a nice video that does help. I've learned that if I'm not sure about a tree I ask lots of questions and do plenty of research. Love learning about them. Think that's what I like the most about bonsai.
