Any ideas what this particular plant is?

I spied this plant in a lonely corner of my yard, it had gorgeous red flowers last year and the base is really interesting to me. So…into a pot it went! Here is a random collection of pics over the last year:22AB781B-B298-4721-ACD1-8054189B52A5.jpegEC980981-8B96-4B5C-8DDC-43FB689D9DCC.jpeg090630CB-037A-4432-ACF7-6FD8491EE68D.jpegFC2275D6-2B77-4C2B-8646-ADF55392E157.jpeg00A5F0D1-AB88-4E36-BFD6-0B6B3D06EB0C.jpegAD419290-45B2-4611-A01F-1F0D1A17A76D.jpegC6D34F95-6A42-4BE9-99E5-7BFD306A2BF2.jpeg5FA22687-C1FC-4FD1-BBEC-9BF1079A83BF.jpegA9A55A06-6140-499B-8B11-50F1F3EF81F9.jpeg

Flaking bark? Check! Bell shaped flowers? Check. Hollow stems? Not sure. Able to bud out everywhere? Possibly. Goes dormant? Could be.

@Clorgan would recognize a fuchsia if she sees one.
I think this is a fuchsia.

Thanks, everybody! This plant seems to be very happy in its pot, and doesn’t mind a heavy pruning.

Wish I had stuff like this growing in my yard! As is, I must be satisfied with a mutant trident clump.

Not quite flaky enough for a fuchsia I don't think?? Similar though! I think weigela too - trunk looks similar to mine

My weigela - very similar bark and leaves. I have another one that I pruned pretty hard last year - didn't bat an eyelid!
