What to do with my red AP ?
Where to cut ?

Comes from a large garden plant, was a few years in a large plastic container, and planted last year in this wooden box to spread the roots.
Now it´s time to decide what to do with the branches...
Cut only the thick ones and keep the V-split or cut even lower and start all over ?

That's a good option 👍

I could try to cut only half through the biggest branches to speed up the healing of the scars... Never tried that before

@PieterVE I'm busy removing a large branch with the wedge cut process now, you can see my progress in this post

I would pick the best trunk line and remove the other half of the V. No need to chop below the V IMO.

Thank´s Shaun, that´s very helpfull 👍
When did you make the cut ? Winter or Summer?

So, yesterday was my local bonsai club evening and I took the tree to discuss options and see what could be done to improve...
After much debate I went ahead and cut some branches...

First some pictures of how it was before cutting
