what's wrong with small trees?

Can't argue with that. Now on NSA bad list.

What if I go to Amsterdam and come back with a "loaf of bread"? French bread holds its shape when hollowed out.

>Amsterdam
>French bread

Logistics...

It's a mame, you could easily hide it in some sort of non specified cavity!

Buy the French bread too though!
Not only does it hold its shape hollowed, but solid, and left out to harden, it can be used to expand said cavity, just be sure to butter it.......

Let's not leave my man with broken twigs!

Also, a hemroid pillow will be nice on the plane!

But you know what happens when you get it back into the state's right.....

A shitty tree.....
And you can't even practice on those!

My empty skull?

French bread is available anywhere

Lol, you plan on ditching your brains? Don't think that will work out nicely.

Truly it pisses me to the point of red-in-face syndrome to think I can't get cool bonsai from over seas.

It is the worst, yes. All those trees, books and stuff on 99 cent bonsai, bonsai auctions and similar groups, and you know it gets thrice as expensive to bring 'em home..

Note: Beginning in September 2016, the Phoenix Bonsai Society will change their meeting day from Tuesdays to Wednesdays. All the other information is correct as is. The change will allow us to have more space in the Valley Garden Center on Wednesdays, including being able to have several of our mentors able to work on different trees at once. Newbies will be able to walk around, ask questions, and maybe get some hands-on experience in a more intimate setting -- in addition to larger club meetings and the other events we are developing.

And F.Y.I., the Scottsdale Bonsai Society's contact is now Christine Kaesche, 480-227-1588, cakimekomi3@cox.net ;

the Southern Arizona Bonsai Enthusiasts are now a study group, with Doris Cavanaugh's email address changed to doris_c6@q.com and the other contact info correct as is; and

the Tucson Bonsai Society now is meeting at 12:45 pm on the Third Sunday of the month at the Catalina United Methodist Church, 2700 East Speedway in Building H. Room H230. David Meyer's contact info is correct as is.
