where do i start

hello i had got a juniper in a small 3 gallon pot so i washed the dirt away from the roots wired it in to a 6 inch bonsai pot. cut away some low branches but now i would like to wire it but there is just so much leaves on top of that i dont really know how to wire this tree. here is some pictures of it.
i want to have it look some thing kind of like this one in a picture i found.

like with the leaves only on top of the branches and spread out as to show the trunk system.
please help me to learn how i can wire and style this cool little tree.

Your little tree is years away from being like the one you pictured. You don't say where you are from, but your best bet to start in bonsai is to find and join a local bonsai club. If you tell us where you live we may be able to help you find one.

Also, visit your public library and check out their books on bonsai -- and read them.

im from rhode island i have been reading alot about bonsai im not looking to make the tree into that over night im looking for where to start the young trees training like how to clean up the little growth to set it in the right direction

Please do update your profile with your location. It makes a huge difference to what you can do and when. Hopefully you used soil very close to 100% inorganic and very free draining. If so you need to only give Junipers one insult per year. In other words just keep it alive now till next year. Enjoy!

Clyde gives good advice on this for now, next year removal of unneeded branching, wiring, and pruning. For now leave it and let the foliage push the roots, next year start again in ernest. Are you sure this was in a 3 gallon pot? Seems kind of small and young for that size.

Hello odica..Probably the closest nursery to you is New England Bonsai Gardens in Bellinghm, MA. They have classes throughout Spring and Summer. Wiring is a craft that needs to be learned over time. There are guide lines and certain ways to wire. It would be best to learn in a class or workshop setting. Here is the site.
