Hi everyone!

I have several deciduous bonsais, so I thought I should get an evergreen one too. I want to style it from scratch, so my idea is to get a nursery stock Juniper plant and turn it into a bonsai.
Now, I'm choosing between 5 different types of Juniper and since I never had one, I'd like to ask you for your opinion. I don't have a nursery anywhere near me, so I'd be ordering it online (I can't choose it myself). My options are:
  1. Juniper San Jose
  2. Juniper Stricta
  3. Juniper communis 'Compressa'
  4. Juniper pingii 'Loderi'
  5. Juniper blue chip
Thoughts/Suggestions?

The plan would be relatively small, in a 2l pot. The cost is not much, maybe $7-8 bucks top. Thank you for the link and the opinion! ;)

But where are you buying it from?
How big?
How much?

Not even that continent! Haha Europe! I'm from Bulgaria :)

Nice! You may be the first from there!

We got a lot of folks out there may be able to connect you with a good source for sure material.

Of course....this is assuming the place you're ordering from is....like it sounds...

Haha well, we have a local Bonsai Forum but it's not that popular here at all (641 members in the forum). There are no tools, no pots, no nothing really. It's horrible. I just ordered my set of bonsai tools from Ebay. If you look for orchards, every other store or online shop sell those along with all accessories. But bonsais, not really, it's very rare.

There are however nursery plants and this is one of the reasons why I'd get one here. Well, not my first one, I should get an acer deshojo tomorrow too.

I try to support my local nurseries if I can.
