Worked today on my little willow leaf ficus. This tree has been through the years with me. I had it in 2009. It has been shipped from Florida to California back to Florida to NYC to Nashville and back to Florida. It has changed shape a few times and lost some health while being in my parents care. Poor thing is finally back in my care and in Miami where i feel it is going to flourish

I finally thought it was strong enough to rework it tonight.DB4C8A4E-9418-4DDA-8E78-C2188BCDD3C7.jpeg

Well done. My favorite Ficus. Cut my foliage off completely this late winter and am waiting bud back. That's going to be nice. Heck it is now!

Very cool. It makes me wish I had left a little more trunk when I chopped mine. Yours is pleasantly natural-looking. Just a thought - I wonder if the tree might be more balanced if you lost the first branch?
