Wisteria? Where can I get one?

Has taken over one of my flower beds. There everywhere in my area and mine is a week away from blooming.

That is the major issue with wisteria in the south. The can take over flower beds, yards, and weigh down tree limbs to the point of breaking them. It is one of the most invasive plants in the southern US. But the flowers are pretty, so th Garden Clubs won't let anyone start a campaign to get rid -- or thin out (more realistically) -- it.

Here's one of mine.

That looks great jlk! That's what I hope to accomplish. (fingers crossed)

How big of a cutting is too big to root(diameter wise)? My boss just told me he has one growing on his farm and he'll chop off a branch for me this weekend. I just don't know what size branch will root. Obviously I'd like a nice thick one to get a leg up but if it won't root that's useless lol

All the ones I have ever done were 2 inches thick and cut to around a foot long. I placed them in plastic pots and used 1/2 topsoil and 1/2 sand so they stayed in place. I put them into the substrate about 3 - 4 inches deep. Over them I put a large clear plastic container from pretzel bites. Put a tray under the pot and wet it down well, put some air holes around the plastic container, remove daily and water. Mine were in morning sun only so they only needed water once a day. I left a few leaves on them and honest I was just flying on instinct. It worked though and I had root in 4 - 5 weeks. There is probably a few places that have proper instructions if you google for them, but that is what worked for me.
