Yes, slog more sun. I'm sure it is going to leave the purple and blue-ish behind and have more red.
Most likely solid red.

Coming along very nicely Adam. These maples can take quite a bit of direct sunlight even in mid-summer. Not sure about about more southern regions but they can take quite a bit of strong light.
