Three reason I don't have them is the germination rate sucks, they die to dampening off, and not for my zone.
I may give a few seeds another try though.
Dawn Redwood works better here, looks nicer IMO...esp 'Gold Rush', 'Ogon'

Buy the seedlings from giant-sequoia.com, I struck a few from seed, but it takes too long to develop. They are not easy as bonsai, but I enjoy the challenge.
