Pallets and cinder blocks. Nothing spectacular but at least they're
off the ground. Pics from a few weeks ago. Ignore the brown leaves in the second photo. It's not dead just ripped from its pot by a duck.

This I built yesterday with some scrap wood for succulents that needed more shade and it could make a nice bonsai bench idea. The frame is boards ripped to roughly 2x3". The top is old fencing boards to give that old farm style look. The rot was wire brushed off the old boards and it brought out a lot of detail in them. The rest of it will be stained with an age accelerator of steel wool and vinegar then it'll all be sealed so the newer looking wood of the frame matches the old top boards more.

I've posted mine a few times before in other threads so people might be tired of it. But what the hell. I took this the other night after a nice rain. I always like the look of things after a rain. It seems fresher.

I had plans to replace the mulch with gravel this year but the reality of the work that would be involved set in and I just re-mulched.

Looks great!
We just had a nice rain followed by sunshine. The folage looks so bright and fresh on everything.

@namnhi That is a LOT to take care of, how do you manage!!!!
At this stage, my main goal is to keep them alive. Am hoping to have a bit more time dedicated to this hobby in about 5 more years.... (my youngest would be 7 by then). Like @Dav4, I don't want to waste any time so I start with a lot of seedlings. The pines in one of the photo is a seedling about 10 years ago.

Everyday after work I just water them which takes about 30 minutes. If I want to do anything else, I have to do it on the weekends from 6:00 - 8:00 AM.

I'm surprised in Houston that you only have to water once a day.

Some of them seem a little wilted at the end of the day. I only have 2 in bonsai pots. The rest are still in training pot.

It's the humidity. I never water more then once a day... except for a day like yesterday... temps in the 90's with dew points in the 50's. Once dew points get into the low to mid 60's, the soil stays damp even in full sun.
