My entries are two lemon cypress, a bigger one with an interesting bend, and a smaller one that's a plant
20191218_154623.jpgI see a literati in the future.
20191218_154550.jpg I need to "get into" this one to see what I can see. Maybe a smaller informal upright. Should be able to bend the trunk a fair bit.

Nice, it's great to see so many jump on board with the contest. Will be fun to see these all progress. Good luck

20191219_172934.jpg These things ate like potato chips, I bought two more. Sorry about the dark shot.

Picked up a last bigger one. 20200102_115540.jpg20200102_115607.jpg dug out the root base.

Cleaned out all the root bases:

Next to clear out excess branches and pick trunk lines.

Dat Beav!
It's so good to have you back.

I remember a day when B-nut was way more metal. Let's get back there!

I'm finding my best deals to be the 44 dollar ones reduced by half with a solar powered string of Christmas lights.
That's a lot of convertible hardware.

Sorce

The lemon cypress species has intrigued me for some time, but I've never bought any to mess with. Excited to see what you do with them!

We are coming closer to the end of the Little Christmas Tree contest. Final photos should be posted in your individual threads, and will be voted on by the general membership starting on April 30.

Time to start thinking about your repotting, final design, wiring, pruning and generally getting the trees in shape for the contest!
