You aren't supposed to fight.my battle with pot
I don't believe for a New York minute that anyone with enough sense to have $7,600 is also stupid enough to pay that kind of money for a purchase on Ebay. For that kind of money, you have to have a face-to-face with someone who can provide provenance for such an item.My observation is that really exquisite glazed [or even more so] finely painted pots from Japan tend to be very small, three or four inches in length/diameter. Unless one is into mame or shohin sizes, those really artistic pots tend to be more for show than go, as they say. I saw a pot on eBay today that was antique painted Chinese, 4” by 4” at the top and maybe 5” high, offered for $7,600. That’s about the cost of my first three cars. Pots like that are geared toward pot collectors rather than pot users.

Grocery money doesn't count.
