Hey everyone,

On Tuesday my club held an oral/silent action and a raffle in order to raise money for speakers, workshops, etc. These are the trees that I won in the raffle/bought.
In order:
Chinese elm
JBP
Chinese elm
Lion's mane maple
Alberta spruce
Lodgepole pine
Hinoki cypress
Japanese maple forest

Good starts!
You're going to have fun.
Lots to learn about your different trees and the way each needs to be approached.
Lots of information on each can be found here in old threads.
Check out the sites search function and don't hesitate to ask questions.
Good luck!

Nice!
I think you could turn that first elm into something cool, with a low chop.....build a low and wide canopy over that root base...
That hinoki looks healthy!

Thanks! That was what I was thinking. It already has those low branches to build off of. I like the idea of it as a mame.
