    Hello from Norway

New family member I ran into a "bonsai-sale" at a local plant centre yesterday and got this little Zelkova - just 16 cm (6.2") from soil to top leaf. They had several of them, but most of them had too brutally cut trunk shapes (cut for taper and "interesting" shapes I guess). This one I thought...

    Hello from Norway

I see, I think it is an interesting idea to combine Chinese and Scandinavian design, but I guess the result is not living up to what one could have hoped for...

    Hello from Norway

I haven't noticed those since it's been a while since last time I was there, but I don't think IKEA would be my first stop if I was out looking for Chinese stuff :D

    Hello from Norway

Thanks! Yes I'm very fond of his films, and I thought his "kodama" (Japanese tree spirits) would be suitable for this forum :)

    Hello from Norway

Hi all, I recently got bitten a bit by the bonsai bug, and decided to join this forum to learn more. Some background: two weeks ago I was asked by my wife to take better care of my 2 years old Ficus Ginseng "mallsai" from IKEA. When first I got it, it almost died from too much water, and then...
