Turns out that our web host is a little slower at getting things done than anticipated. For the past five days the site has been pointing at the old database on the old server. Today we switched over to the database on the NEW server... which just happens to be about 5 days old. What this means is that they need to merge the two databases and copy over all the posts, etc, that have been created in the last 5 days. It also means that a lot of the custom work that I have done on the site will also need to be moved over. Sorry about all of this strangeness - I had been told they would have been done with all of the migration work by LAST Monday.
If you look at the site we are currently missing all posts from around the 15th through this morning (the 21st). They aren't lost - they are just on the other database and need to be moved over.
