Thinking about showing up early and rocking the gut. matthaei botanical gardens is worth it alone. Lot's of excellent trees.

A few? More than two? Can't wait to see them! (I know you can't tell me which ones. Bonsai fight club rules) Did you army crawl, with a tablespoon in your teeth, into the neighbors yard for some nice moss?

Sorry to disappoint, but no commando crawls into no man's land this year. I'm getting both slightly more resourceful AND less stupid in my later years .

@Dav4 The magnifying glass mame setup with the tinest accent plant was awesome. I love that Green Witch gardens put their Schefflera banyan in the show, but I think it looks better trimmed.







This one is pretty cool. I know the guy who owns it.

I was working yesterday but popped by this afternoon, and unusually for me, managed not to buy anything. Lovely trees, a cool rock, and a tiny rattler on one of the nearby footpaths. Good times.

I got a phone call saying I won the walnut slab in a raffle. Told him to give it to Ellen of GWG and I can pick it up this week.
