I’ve got a few apple trees I bought on sale from Walmart last year and was considering chopping the trunks. After planting out in my yard they were ran over multiple times by my brother and they lost all major branching. They have yet to leaf out but the cambium is green and the roots are starting to grow. I’ve remove around 50% of the roots and cut back damaged wood but I’m considering chopping closer to the base of the tree. They are grafted onto stock but I’m not too worried about that and they’re less then 2 inches in diameter. Ill add some pics later.

Have you allowed retarded brother to continue livingo_O? See what grows as may need some recovery time after abuse.

I feel that same way about my brother. After loosing many peonies and weigla I’ve gotten used to the slaughter of my plants. Not to mention a few rose of Sharon but those seed prolificly. With the apples I’m not really focusing on production as much as an unusual bonsai. You don’t see too many of those laying around. If there’s a plant in my yard I’ll end up putting in a pot lol.
