Are these Boxwoods....?

I think the shrubs on the right hand of the stairs are boxwoods..... Not sure about the one on the left.

Could be. A close up of the leaves would help. Boxwoods have opposite leaves.

The one on the left does not look like a boxwood. Hard to tell from that photo, but might be escallonia.
