Hey again all, I've got a Burning Bush that I recently picked up, and I've got a question. Now, I know this is a really really far way away from being anything bonsai related, but I want to trim it. I want to cut the two shoots that are too tall and plant the tree in a pond basket to let it grow. If I do trim those two tall branches, will I get good backbud with the tree? Thanks!

Thank you for that link! So you think I could cut back even more than I mentioned?

They do back bud....one thing to remember--you only get one flush of growth per year with euonymous.

Thanks for the replies! But one more question, if the leaves are already out and I cut it back hard, will it back bud this year, or will I have to wait until the next year? Thanks!
